Karaoke

We are trying to organize a KARAOKE EVENT together with the Japanese and Finnish Society. If you are interested or are part of a society that you think might be interested, please do not hesitate to contact us on this email!

Week 6

Dear Members, Hope you are all holding up with your essay deadlines, job applications, and society commitments! A few announcements for the week: 1. We hope your calendars are now booked for our Scandinavian Party at the Porterhouse, Tuesday 18th November!! Do not forget to pick up your tickets, which will be sold on Houghton Thursday 13 and Monday 17 November
2. The Finnish Society has kindly offered us tickets to the presentation held by Alexander Stubb, Finnish Foreign Minister. Ticket includes entry to the presentation and the following reception. Due to a high level of interest, we can only guarantee tickets on a first come, first-serv basis. If you are interested, please contact our Speakers Officer, Minna (m.e.lehtinen@lse.ac.uk) AS SOON AS POSSIBLE
3. The Danish Embassy has kindly agreed to provide interested members of the Scandinavian Society with a tour of the Danish Embassy on Thursday, November 27th! The tour will include a talk with staff members, where you will have a chance to ask any questions you may have about both career and practices of the Embassy If you are interested in this event, please contact our Events Officer, Yancey (y.j.westerfield@lse.ac.uk)
4. We are beginning the process of planning the Christmas Dinner (scheduled for Tuesday 2 December at this point in time) and will need volunteers to cook and help out with the food. If you are talented at cooking or would like to take part in any of the work involved in making it a great Scandi event, please reply to our Honorary Christmas Committee President, Maria (m.l.knudsen@lse.ac.uk)
