Immigration into the Nordic countries: an overview presented by the Finnish, Danish and Swedish embassies

Dear SCANDISOC members,

Don't miss out on our first Speakers Event: an academically stimulating talk on the topic of migration into the Nordic countries. This will be followed by drinks and snacks in the Senior Common Room. Come and represent the society, ask lots of questions to the panel, mingle and enjoy the fine wine!

Event details:

Date: 23d February
Time: 18.30-20.00 (reception 20.00-21.00)
Venues: D502 (Clement House). Reception in the Senior Common Room (Old Building).
Topic: "Immigration into the Nordic countries: an overview presented by the Finnish, Danish and Swedish embassies."
Format: John Madeley will open the Panel with a brief introduction. This will be followed by a 10 - max 15 minute talk by each participant, preferably in power point format. Madeley will then sum up the different views, and initiate a debate between the participants and open for questions from the audience.
Participants: Markku Keinänen, Deputy Head of Mission, Finnish Embassy; Eva Leisner, First Secretary/Political Section, Danish Embassy and Per Augustsson, Deputy Chief of Mission, Swedish Embassy.
